Stove Top Penne Casserole

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces dry penne pasta or 8 ounces other pastas
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups frozen peas, thawed

Recipe

  • 1 cook pasta in a large saucepan for 2 minutes less than package directions, then drain.
  • 2 saute the onion in saucepan on medium-high heat.
  • 3 reduce the heat to medium then stir in pumpkin, milk, tomato sauce, sugar, spices, and worcestershire sauce.
  • 4 cook until mixture begins to simmer.
  • 5 add peas and pasta then stir until heated.
