Spaghetti Alla Carbonara

- 8 ounces uncooked spaghetti
- 1 cup chopped ham
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Recipe
- 1 cook pasta according to package directions: omit salt and fat.
- 2 drain pasta in a colander over o bowl reserving 1/2 cup liquid.
- 3 heat a large non-stick skillet over medium high.
- 4 add the ham and cook for 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
- 5 add the pasta and stir well.
- 6 combine the cheese through garlic stirring with a whisk.
- 7 pour egg mixture over pasta and stir well.
- 8 cook over low heat for 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens stirring constantly--do not boil.
- 9 sprinkle with pepper.
