Spaghetti And Browned Butter With Mizythra Cheese

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 1/2 lb mizithra cheese (can be found at most delis)
Recipe
- 1 directions for browned butter: melt butter in a small pot while spaghetti is cooking.
- 2 cook 3-5 minutes until butter foams and rises. you will see a golden brown color when it is done.
- 3 remove from heat immediately and put aside.
- 4 grate mizythra cheese and put aside.
- 5 drain spaghetti once it is done.
- 6 serve spaghetti on plates or in bowls.
- 7 add about 1/4 cup of melted browned butter to each serving of spaghetti.
- 8 sprinkle with generous serving of mizythra. (warning: mizythra is very rich cheese).
- 9 some people like to add a small amount of marinara or meat sauce. others (such as myself) enjoy it plain.
