Spaghetti And Meatballs

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb sweet italian sausage
  • 1 cup 2% low-fat milk
  • 1 cup italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dehydrated onion
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 (15 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon basil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 8 ounces spaghetti

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 2 for meatballs, combine the first six ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
  • 3 roll the meat mixture into 1 1/2 to 2 oz balls and place on a cookie sheet.
  • 4 place meatballs in oven and bake for 20 - 30 minutes turning once.
  • 5 in a sauce pan, stir oregano, basil and garlic into the sauce.
  • 6 heat the sauce and simmer for at least 20 minutes.
  • 7 bring about a gallon of water to a boil.
  • 8 once the water is boiling, add the kosher salt and spaghetti and cook till al dente (about 10 minutes).
  • 9 while pasta cooks, remove the meatballs from the oven and add to the sauce.
