Stovetop Beef 'n' Shells

Ingredients

- 4 ounces uncooked medium pasta shells
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 (15 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 cook pasta according to package directions.
- 2 meanwhile, in a large saucepan, cook the beef, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
- 3 stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, salt and pepper. bring to a boil.
- 4 reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes.
- 5 drain pasta; stir into beef mixture and heat through.
