Stovetop Beef 'n' Shells

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 ounces uncooked medium pasta shells
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 cook pasta according to package directions.
  • 2 meanwhile, in a large saucepan, cook the beef, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
  • 3 stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, salt and pepper. bring to a boil.
  • 4 reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes.
  • 5 drain pasta; stir into beef mixture and heat through.
