Stir-fry Beef With String/green Beans

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3/4 lb flank steaks or 3/4 lb london broil beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sherry wine
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1/2 lb fresh string bean, cleaned
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • 1 piece fresh ginger, peeled & minced fine
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch, dissolved in
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth, and
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

Recipe

  • 1 marinate beef in cornstarch, sherry& soy sauce about 1/2 hour.
  • 2 cook beans in boiling water 2 minutes.
  • 3 rinse in cold water.
  • 4 heat oil in wok.
  • 5 brown garlic& ginger.
  • 6 add beef.
  • 7 stir fry until color changes.
  • 8 add beans & sugar.
  • 9 stir fry 1 minute.
  • 10 add dissolved corn starch mixture.
  • 11 stir fry till thickened.
  • 12 serve with rice if desired.
  • 13 serves 4-6.
