Sadies Homemade Bread

Ingredients
- 5 lbs flour
- 3/4 ounce yeast (3 packages)
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 5 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3 teaspoons oil
Recipe
- 1 mix salt and flour together
- 2 mix 1 1/2 c warm water with yeast and sugar, let sit 5-6 minutes or until it begins to rise.
- 3 pour yeast mixture into flour and knead together until smooth (about 15 minutes) adding the additional 5 c water and oil as needed.
- 4 dough should be smooth like silk with no rough lumps.
- 5 let rise in a warm spot until size of dough has doubled.
- 6 punch down dough and divide into 6 loaves let rise one more time.
- 7 bake at 400 for 20-22 minutes.
- 8 bread is done when it is golden brown and sounds hollow when thumped.
