Stuffed Bell Pepper Stew

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 green bell peppers, diced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans beef broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice
  • finely shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 in a dutch oven brown beef and drain off fat.
  • 2 add the peppers to the browned meat and sauté for 3-5 minutes.
  • 3 cook rice following instructions on box.
  • 4 stir in the rest of the ingredients accept the rice. reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes. stir in rice and heat through.
  • 5 pour into bowls and top with mozzarella cheese if desired.
