Rice Payasam

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 4 teaspoons chopped almonds
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon coconut extract
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

Recipe

  • 1 soak rice for 15 minutes.
  • 2 allow the milk and coconut extract to boil.
  • 3 add the soaked rice and cook.
  • 4 after it is cooked, add sugar, cardamom powder and almonds and let it boil for 5 minutes.
  • 5 add the evaporated milk and let it boil.
