Russian Tea Biscuits

Ingredients
- 2 cups raisins
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 4 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Recipe
- 1 boil the raisins and water for 5 minutes and let cool. then add the baking soda.
- 2 creme together the butter, sugar, eggs.
- 3 add other ingredients and raisins (make sure the raisins are completely cool).
- 4 drop by small spoonfuls onto a baking sheet and press them flat.
- 5 bake at 400°f until brown on edges.
- 6 let sit on tray before transferring to a cooling rack.
