Savannah Red Rice

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 tablespoons lamb fat
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 1/2 lbs smoked sausage, sliced diagonal
  • 14 ounces tomatoes
  • 4 ounces tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 1/2 cups jumbo shrimp, cooked

Recipe

  • 1 add all ingredients except shrimp to a large pot.
  • 2 cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • 3 add shrimp. serve.
