Rice Pilaf

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a 2 qt. saucepan over high heat.
  • 2 saute' onion and green pepper until tender crisp.
  • 3 add rice; cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • 4 add water and chicken bouillon; bring to a boil.
  • 5 stir once.
  • 6 reduce heat to low.
  • 7 stir once.
  • 8 cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  • 9 don't look!
  • 10 remove from heat and uncover.
  • 11 let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
  • 12 serve hot.
