Rice Dish #4

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 3 cups brown rice
  • 2 medium raw potatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can mackerel
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons extra-light vegetable oil spread

Recipe

  • 1 put 5 cups water in a large pan with the rice.
  • 2 bring to boil.
  • 3 reduce heat, allow to simmer for 45-50 minutes.
  • 4 remove from heat.
  • 5 microwave potatoes on high for 8 minutes.
  • 6 remove skin from potatoes, mash thoroughly, and add to rice along with spread and vinegar or "pepper" juice.
  • 7 stir until well mixed.
  • 8 empty entire can of mackerel including liquids and stir entire mix throughly.
