Stroganoff Meatballs

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 (10 ounce) can consomme (undiluted)
  • 1 cup sour cream

Recipe

  • 1 meat balls: combine all ingredients in large bowl.
  • 2 mix well and roll into balls of desired size.
  • 3 place on edged cookie sheet and bake at 350°f for 25-30 minutes.
  • 4 remove from oven, drain and set aside.
  • 5 sauce: brown onion in butter, add flour, mix well.
  • 6 add ketchup and consommé, cooking slowly until thickened.
  • 7 add sour cream, then meat balls.
  • 8 place in casserole and heat in 300°f oven until serving time.
  • 9 serve over broad egg noodles or rice.
  • 10 *i usually don't add the full cup of sour cream, but just add a bit at a time until i think it is right for me.
