Rice Puff Treats

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons smart balance butter spread
  • 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 5 cups puffed rice cereal
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 spray a 9x12 pan with cooking spray.
  • 2 melt the better spread in a large saucepan over low heat.
  • 3 add marshmallows and stir.
  • 4 when marshmallows are almost completely melted, add vanilla.
  • 5 stir until completely melted.
  • 6 mix in rice puffs. stir until well coated.
  • 7 spread the mixture evenly into the pan.
  • 8 press the mixture into the pan with a sheet of wax paper. this will flatten them out.
  • 9 refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • 10 remove the wax paper, cut with a butter knife.
