Speedy Gingerbread Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1/4 cup instant oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 cup golden raisin (optional)
  • 1/8 cup walnuts (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 mix the oats, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, salt, raisins and water in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • 2 microwave on high for 1-1.25 minutes, stirring every 15-30 seconds until the oatmeal has reached the desired consistency.
  • 3 stir in the brown sugar, walnuts and a few drops of milk, serve warm.
