Rich, Memorable And Aromatic Nariyal Ke Chawal (rice That Was Bo

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 3 cups basmati rice, washed and drained
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 cardamoms
  • 5 tablespoons ghee
  • 5 cups coconut milk
  • 8 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • salt

Recipe

  • 1 pour ghee in a pan.
  • 2 add cloves, cardamoms and cinnamon.
  • 3 stir-fry for a minute.
  • 4 add onion and saute till transparent and lightly brown for 5 minutes.
  • 5 add the remaining ingredients.
  • 6 bring to a boil.
  • 7 lower flame.
  • 8 cover.
  • 9 cook till all the coconut milk is absorbed by the rice.
  • 10 serve hot with plain low-fat yogurt.
