Spinach Lasagna

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (16 ounce) container ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen spinach, thawed and the water squeezed out of it
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2 cook the lasagna noodles in a large pot of boiling water with olive oil and salt until al dente. drain.
  • 3 mix the ricotta, 1/2 cup of parmesan, spinach, and egg together.
  • 4 put a little of the alfredo sauce in the bottom of a 6 x 9 inches baking dish.
  • 5 place a layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce. cover this with half the spinach-ricotta mixture, then alfredo sauce, then another layer of noodles, the rest of the spinach-ricotta mixture, the rest of the alfredo sauce, then cover with lasagna noodles.
  • 6 over this sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and then the 1/2 cup parmesan cheese.
  • 7 cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • 8 remove foil and bake for 15 more minutes.
  • 9 remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
