Ingredients

- 1 (1 lb) can cream-style corn
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies, drained
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- 2 combine corn, milk, shortening, eggs, cornmeal, soda, baking powder, salt, drained chiles and cheese.
- 3 mix well.
- 4 pour into greased 9-inch square pan.
- 5 bake for 45 minutes until golden.
- 6 serve hot.
