Sour Cream Top Sirloin

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 lbs top sirloin steaks
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dijon-style mustard
  • 1/4 lb sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • rice or buttered noodles, as desired

Recipe

  • 1 cut meat into serving-size pieces.
  • 2 dredge in flour, seasoned with paprika, salt and pepper.
  • 3 heat oil in a heavy skillet. sear steak on one side. turn meat.
  • 4 add onion, garlic, water, soy sauce, brown sugar and mustard.
  • 5 cover. simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • 6 add mushrooms. continue to simmer for 5 minutes or until meat is tender.
  • 7 add sour cream. simmer until thoroughly heated.
