Ingredients

- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
- 8 ounces macaroni
- 3 1/2 cups milk
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in skillet.
- 2 add onion and saute until tender.
- 3 stir in flour, salt and oregano.
- 4 add macaroni and milk.
- 5 cover and bring to a boil.
- 6 reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
- 7 stir occasionally.
- 8 add cheese and stir until cheese is melted (do not boil).
