Sour Sweet Lamb

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb lean lamb, cut into small cubes (i used boneless butterfly lamb chops)
  • 1 cup beef bouillon
  • 2 medium green peppers, cut in 1 inch pieces
  • 3 tablespoons chopped onions
  • 4 slices pineapple, cut into eighths
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice (from pineapple)

Recipe

  • 1 brown lamb in small amount of hot oil or fat.
  • 2 sprinkle well with salt and pepper.
  • 3 add bouillon.
  • 4 cook slowly (covered) for 30 minutes.
  • 5 add green pepper, onion, and pineapple.
  • 6 cook 15 minutes.
  • 7 mix cornstarch, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce and pineapple juice.
  • 8 add to lamb mixture, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • 9 cook 15 minutes longer.
  • 10 add salt and pepper to taste.
  • 11 serve over rice (i used boil in a bag, any brand).
