Spicy Corn Fritters(khao Pode Thord)

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cilantro roots, and stems chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (8 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil

Recipe

  • 1 make sweet and sour red chilie sauce.
  • 2 place cilantro, garlic and pepper in a mortar; pound to a paste. blend paste with water in a small bowl.
  • 3 in a meidum size bowl, comgine the rice flour and all purpose flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. stir in corn.
  • 4 blend in cilatro water mixture.
  • 5 heat oil in wok to 375 degrees or until a 1 inch bread cube turns golden brown in 50 seconds.
  • 6 drop mixture by tablespoons into oil.
  • 7 fry until golden brown on each side, turning as needed. drain on paper towels.
  • 8 keep warm until ready to serve.
