Spicy Corn Fritters(khao Pode Thord)

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons cilantro roots, and stems chopped
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2/3 cup water
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (8 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
Recipe
- 1 make sweet and sour red chilie sauce.
- 2 place cilantro, garlic and pepper in a mortar; pound to a paste. blend paste with water in a small bowl.
- 3 in a meidum size bowl, comgine the rice flour and all purpose flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. stir in corn.
- 4 blend in cilatro water mixture.
- 5 heat oil in wok to 375 degrees or until a 1 inch bread cube turns golden brown in 50 seconds.
- 6 drop mixture by tablespoons into oil.
- 7 fry until golden brown on each side, turning as needed. drain on paper towels.
- 8 keep warm until ready to serve.
